Signs of a diseased liver visible in the feet
Swollen feet? A sign of circulatory imbalance.
One of the common symptoms of liver dysfunction is edema, which is a buildup of fluid in the lower body, especially in the feet and ankles. This can be accompanied by a feeling of heaviness or even pain at the end of the day.
Why? Because a weakened liver can disrupt blood circulation and cause portal hypertension, an abnormally high pressure in the veins that supply blood to the liver. As a result, the feet become silent witnesses to a larger imbalance.Itching in the feet, sometimes intense and without a visible rash, can be a sign of excess bile in the body. This occurs especially when the bile ducts are blocked or damaged, as in certain cholestatic liver diseases.
If this itching occurs often at night, or for no apparent reason, it’s worth a quick check-up.
