Step 1: Assess the damage

Step 2: Sand the area
Light Burns:
Use fine-grit sandpaper to gently sand the burn mark.
Gradually sand around the mark to blend the affected area with the surrounding floor.
Deep Burns:

Sand until the blackened area is no longer visible.
Step 3: Fill (If Needed)
If the burn has left a noticeable hole or deep groove:
Apply wood filler using a putty knife, ensuring it is flush with the floor.
Let the filler dry completely, as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
Once dry, sand it smooth using fine-grit sandpaper.
Step 4: Apply Stain or Finish
Use a stained wood that matches the rest of your floor.
