8 cups cold water (filtered if possible)

Optional additions

Fresh mint leaves

Cucumber slices

A small drizzle of honey or maple syrup

A pinch of turmeric

Prepare the Ingredients
Lemon

Wash the lemon thoroughly, especially if it is not organic. Slice it into thin rounds and remove any seeds.

Ginger

Peel the ginger using a spoon or vegetable peeler. Slice it thinly or grate it if you prefer a stronger flavor.

Infuse the Water
Place the lemon slices and ginger into a large pitcher (glass works best).

Pour in the cold water.

Stir gently to combine the ingredients.

Cover the pitcher and place it in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to infuse.

For a stronger flavor, allow the mixture to steep for 4–6 hours or overnight.
